ABOUT
Started in 2021, the Calico Campaign is a movement devoted to advocating for diversity and better representation for all minorities and underrepresented groups. Through unbiased information, we aim to spread awareness about how the lack of representation for different communities of people inhibits fundamental change in our society. We also advocate for the mindful use of social media to approach these issues. Check out our presentation to learn more:

OUR CAUSES
DEFINING REPRESENTATION
Representation is diversity and diversity is representation. Representation means that the population of a certain aspect of society should reflect its general population. There are beneficial and harmful types of representation. Many groups of people, notably minorities, are grossly underrepresented in industry, politics, and the media.
A SOCIAL ISSUE
Representation is as much of a social issue as it is a political issue. While political reform is one of our objectives, we believe that real fundamental change comes from the mindset and behavior of the general population. This comes from the amount of education that is available to the public. We are committed to providing unbiased, accurate, and easily consumable information to contribute to a forward-facing social environment.
SOCIAL MEDIA REFORM
Arguably, the biggest influence on today's society is the internet and social media. We have seen how social media can rally people together for a cause. We believe that educating people for the mindful use of social media can facilitate fundamental change.
